Why your file upload might not work
If you’re having trouble, it’s usually due to one of these:
File is too large
- Check the size limits above
File type is not supported
- Convert to PDF or Word if needed
The prompt is too broad
- Uploading a file alone isn’t enough
- You need to ask a clear, specific question
Example:
- Avoid: “Analyze this document”
- Instead try: “Summarize the key tax issues in this agreement”
Tips for better results
- Be specific about what you want from the document
- Break large tasks into smaller questions
- Upload only the most relevant files
- Combine file uploads with targeted prompts
When file upload may not work well
- Very large or complex documents without a clear question
- Requests that require interpretation beyond the document
- Broad or vague prompts
In these cases, refine your question or split it into smaller parts.
